Anonymous call to arms to save the internet

We love the internet.
And we’re guessing you do too. Think about all the awesome things it gives us: A vast communication network; innovative businesses; a platform to freely speak or challenge powerful governments; and hundreds and hundreds of hours of cat videos.
All this great stuff is available because the internet was designed in an open and inclusive way, with a multitude of voices being able to get a say on how it’s governed.
But the internet is in danger.
There’s a meeting between the world’s governments in a just a few weeks, and it could very well decide the future of the internet through a binding international treaty. It’s called the World Conference on International Telecommunications (WCIT), and it’s being organized by a government-controlled UN agency called the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
In addition to paying for internet service, you'd also have to pay for visiting certain sites, such as YouTube.
Your communications would be constantly monitored and archived, meaning the end of Internet privacy. This could potentially lead to individuals becoming victims of blackmail by malicious people who control the monitoring.
The Internet is home to many organized social movements which fight for human rights worldwide. If we allow this, we will not be able to use the Internet to organize the defense of our rights...
If the delicate balance of the internet is upset, it could have grave consequences for businesses and human rights.
This must be stopped.
Only governments get a vote at WCIT, so we need people from all around the world to demand that our leaders keep the internet open.
Watch the video, and take action above to tell your governments to oppose handing over key decisions about the internet to the ITU. Let’s use the internet’s global reach to save it.

the music is okay but the message is killer!

this is the latest hit from old rocker dudes The Rolling Stones , I am not a big current Stones fan but I was raised finger the albums 'Sticky Fingers', 'Let it bleed' , 'Exile on Main St.','Beggars Banquet'. But this new song of theirs really piqued my interest. For one Noomi Rapace is in the video and she is so intriguing to look at and she shoves her mouth with cake and burgers and barfs it back up and her head explodes which is pretty awesome! But beside the Rome like themes of a crumbling empire this video/song pretty much sums it up.Thank you ancient rock legends for rockin' out some TRUTHS!and can I get a Hell YES!

IMEU: Gaza Under Attack: Stories From on the Ground

FREE Bradley Manning

Free Bradley Manning or let him go . The truth is he is a political prisoner being held without charges against him.
He was assigned to an army unit based near Baghdad, Manning had access to databases used by the United States government to transmit classified information. He was arrested after Adrian Lamo, a computer hacker, told the FBI that Manning had confided during online chats that he had downloaded material from these databases and passed it to WikiLeaks. The material included videos of the July 12, 2007 Baghdad airstrike and the 2009 Granai airstrike in Afghanistan; 250,000 United States diplomatic cables; and 500,000 army reports that came to be known as the Iraq War logs and Afghan War logs. It was the largest set of restricted documents ever leaked to the public. Much of it was published by WikiLeaks or its media partners between April and November 2010.[2]

''Questioning authority, as a soldier, is not easy. But it can at times be honorable. The words attributed to Manning reveal that he went through a profound moral struggle between the time he enlisted and when he became a whistleblower. Through his experience in Iraq, he became disturbed by top-level policy that undervalued human life and caused the suffering of innocent civilians and soldiers. Like other courageous whistleblowers, he was driven foremost by a desire to reveal the truth.”-from an article on RT about how Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Mairead Maguire and Adolfo PĂ©rez Esquivel have authored a statement to be published in an upcoming issue of The Nation.

voter fraud? oh my gawd !

News about voter fraud is as old as voting but the tactics for suppressing voting has a new low billboards have been used to target minorities threatening them saying they might be locked up if they vote and not to mention unjust voter regulations about having to procure an ID at the booths in some states and the thousands of people who have had to wait unfairly in lines for hours. These barriers used to block voters are being overcome , people are more determined then ever to make their vote count and if you are unsure about your voters rights in the state you are in there is a number you can call its 1-866-OUR-VOTE. And here is the beginning of an article that I got from RT talking about how easy it would be to hack voting machines.......
'Millions of Americans are already waiting for hours outside of polling places to vote for the next president of the United States. All of that might not matter though, as some security pros say the entire election can be rigged all too easily.
In one example, it wouldn’t take much more than ten dollars’ worth of parts from any RadioShack store to steal and manipulate votes. It’s called a man-in-the-middle attack and the computer program that logs the results on electronic voting machines isn’t even compromised.'-for the rest of the article go to ...http://rt.com/usa/news/voting-machine-election-hack-088/

So is this article warning us about the possible voter fraud done by greedy politicians trying to rig the game or is it a call to arms for Anonymous to hack the machines and elect a third party? We'll see.Watch live coverage this evening at DemocracyNow.org or at RT.com.Which lesser of two evils will win.I am on the edge of my seat.
